Terms of service

The terms on which we provide this website, our subscription products and client work.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

1. These terms

These terms form an agreement between you and BI Technology Limited (company number 17399285), registered in England and Wales. By using this website or subscribing to a product, you accept them.

Our products — including StudyPie (studypie.co.uk) and Thyonix (thyonix.com) — are operated by BI Technology Limited. Each product may publish its own terms, which apply alongside these terms and take precedence for that product where they conflict.

2. Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the billing period selected until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
  • Charges are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where the law requires.

3. Acceptable use

Use of our services is subject to our acceptable use policy. We may suspend an account that breaches it, poses a security risk, or is used unlawfully.

4. Client engagements

Custom website and platform work is governed by a written scope document setting out deliverables, timeline and price. That document takes precedence over these terms where they conflict. Intellectual property in bespoke deliverables transfers to the client on final payment; pre-existing tools and libraries remain ours under a perpetual licence to use them within the delivered work.

5. Availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

6. Liability

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate a subscription at the end of a billing period. We may terminate immediately for material breach.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
